Vis. hos. high wind & much colder --
Col [Enoch J.] Ayres came this P.M. John is left on
road a few miles back -- We have orders to be
ready to march early tomorrow Tis said to cross
river above city & attack enemy's left wing
our rations are cookg. very cold tonight 8 PM
& John not here yet
